We got the chance to talk with Alache, Let's see what she had to say....
KingdomSoldNYC: First and foremost thank you for agreeing to talk with us. Let’s get started, Alache tell us a little about yourself and where you are from?
Alache: I am a recording artist, mother of 2. Originally nigerian and located in the washington DC area right now.
KingdomSoldNYC: How are you finding it balancing everything with being a mom, a wife and recording artist. Being a mom and a wife alone I’m sure is like a full time job by itself.
Alache: I am getting better, I’ll say that. The last time I was doing music, I was single not even married. Now coming back into it; like you said being a mom and a wife is like a full time job already so balancing it out with my kids and my music, it has been interesting. I am working it out, I’m coming into my schedule and understanding it better- it’s not easy but it’s what has to be done.
KingdomSoldNYC: You recently released your 2nd body of work called “The Chronicles of the Mrs” what inspired the project?
Alache: Well like my bio said I was gone from music for about 5 years just understanding my life as a wife and a mom, new roles that I’ve taken on in my life. So coming back into this project I wanted to talk about the series of events that had taken place in my life since I became a Mrs. That’s how I came up with the title “The Chronicles of The Mrs”; everything I’m talking about in this project is real stuff that I’ve dealt with over the past few years and getting me to where I am now.
KingdomSoldNYC: What did you enjoy the most out of the whole recording process?
Alache: Um.. it therapy! I think for any artist if you are going to be authentic about your work and the message that you are trying to put out the recording process is therapy because you're revisiting a story and that time and getting the best out of it to put out a sound that people can relate to. I am blessed to have a team that I really enjoy working with so when we come to the studio it’s fun to bounce around ideas and work.
KingdomSoldNYC: Tell us a little about your personal testimony?
Alache: My life has been a long journey but I think the one thing that I want everyone to get out of my testimony is the story of Hope. It’s the fact that no matter what I’ve gone through I have lived off of hope in Christ to make it through and It’s worthwhile for me. Coming into this project, I came with this mindset and I have prayed my way through everything and it is working out well. So for my personal testimony that would be what it is. Getting married, having my kids, my family, my faith and being blessed to do what I love today- that’s the story of Hope.
KingdomSoldNYC: Is there anything special as an artist that you hope to accomplish this year?
Alache: I definitely getting out on the road, meet people, share my story and my journey- I think that is what I am looking forward to for 2016 and just getting my message out there as much as I can!
KingdomSoldNYC: That’s awesome, you’re off to a start. For those who haven’t heard you or would like to keep up with all you are doing, where can they do that?
Alache: My website is www.alache.com, all my social media is @OfficialAlache and that is for facebook, twitter, Instagram,Soundcloud and Vevo- where you can watch my video. Everything is there!
KingdomSoldNYC: Alache, anything you would like to say from promo, shout outs or even an encouraging word?
Alache: For promo- I definitely want people to check out the album, I think it’s a great body of work. I put everything into the project, I am very happy with the product that we have. I really think it will bless people, so definitely get the album and check it out. My encouragement for people is don’t be afraid to take risk go out there and do what your destiny is to do. I think by consistently staying prayerful, staying in touch with your inner self, being comfortable with who you are and what God has for you is what I would encourage people to do. You got to go out there and take risks and don’t be afraid to fail!
